Privacy and customer information

The site stores your basket and an anonymous browser identifier in your browser. It records activity such as product views, add-to-cart actions, checkout-link creation and discount-button clicks. Browser identifiers are not a verified count of individual people.

A signed browser cookie remembers whether this browser was randomly selected for the optional 20% reward, whether it was claimed, and its 10-minute deadline for opening Shopify checkout. Refreshing or claiming does not restart the deadline. The cookie lasts up to 90 days, is not a verified identity, and does not contain payment credentials. Clearing cookies or using another browser can result in a new selection.

When you submit the contact form, your name, email address, subject and message are stored in a password-protected owner inbox so the store can respond. Do not include card numbers or other payment credentials in your message.

Shopify, or Stripe when offered as an alternative, collects the contact, delivery and payment information entered in its secure checkout. Payment card details are handled by the payment provider, not the Pocket Scents contact form. Stripe order references, payment status, purchased items, customer contact and delivery details are stored in our protected order system to fulfil orders and respond to enquiries; payment credentials are not shown in the owner inbox. Each provider's checkout and privacy notices explain its processing of your information.

When enabled and permitted by your analytics consent choice, a Shopify custom pixel reports checkout stages, including submission of contact, delivery and payment information, purchase completion and the occurrence of displayed alerts. The report contains the stage, time and a pseudonymous browser reference linked to the storefront visit; it does not send the entered contact or payment information, checkout URLs or alert text to the owner panel. Browser reports may be blocked or incomplete and are not payment confirmation.
